Shane Koyczan – To This Day Project [Yellowknife, Canada]

If you’re Canadian you might’ve seen him during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic opening ceremony reading We Are More, in a blazing patriotic act. But that’s not what this post is about.

Today’s about Canadian poet and writer, Shane Koyczan getting bullied a lot during his youth. He didn’t let it keep him down, but neither had he forgotten about it. Collaborating with a some extremely talented animators here’s his take on the bullied. Must say it’s been quite a while since I’ve felt anything so powerful. No matter how busy you may be, take a few minutes and watch this. For yourself or for the underdog.

“Our lives will only ever always continue to be a balancing act, That has less to do with pain and more to do with beauty.”
